ABOUT ALEX CASCATĂU
Welcome to the official website of Alex Cascatău - international racing driver and professional driver coach.
With over 7 years of international racing experience under his belt, Alex has often impressed with his adaptability in various racing cars. The 27 year old from Constanța, Romania is also an automotive engineer and speaks 3 languages fluently.
Having started his career in karting, he progressed into touring cars and Formula Student, and was invited by Audi Sport to their TT Cup casting at their factory in Neuburg. Alex was amongst the selected finalists. He is well-known in the paddock of the Belcar Endurance Championship, and finished 3rd in the series in 2018, in the Belcar 5 category. He made the switch to sports prototypes in 2019, first driving the Saker RapX, and then the Norma M20 for the 24h of Zolder. He also won the A2 class title in Romanian Endurance Series in 2019 and is an active sim-racer.
His most impressive performance came during the 2019 Zolder 24h, where he was closely matched with Audi factory driver Frederic Vervisch, without any previous testing experience in an open-cockpit prototype. Alex finished 3rd in class in his first ever race in the Norma
M20.
In 2020 he will compete for BSRacing in the Supercar Challenge, driving a Norma M20 FC together with Alain Berg.
